Best Game

The only game I play on my phone. Totally hooked.

Best Game!

I have loved Letterpress from the first time I played it! Great updates make the game even better! Thanks!

Removing features on upgrades is bad

(Update 2016-04-18: giving the developer feedback on the new dictionary also bounces me to the App Store to leave a review? Deceptive, bad karma. So now I cant trust questions or dialog boxes in the app, so Im no longer going to ever answer any questions. A shame they are squandering good will on a silly thing like that.) Overall, a fun game. Easy rules, simple mechanics, infinitely replayable. If you can find an opponent who will actually play regularly. Maybe after a few hours, or a day, the player who has a turn can get a prompt on their device that they need to make a mov Another bug is that sometimes I dont receive a notification that my opponent has made a move. So I regularly hop out of the game to another app, then back into LetterPress, and poof! The next move appears. This could be a problem with GameCenter, but it is a bug somewhere that affects the quality of LetterPess.

From buggy to broken.

The notification bug has always been annoying. Then the app stopped working altogether. After an uninstall and hard reset it runs for awhile but now friends and I are unable to play together.

I never tire of this game

It fun and easy. I always come back.

Fabulous game but here are some suggestions

A fabulous game. Here are some suggestions: often an opponent who is losing the game will do nothing for weeks hoping that I resign and thereby do not hurt his or her game standings. Can these in limbo games be hidden or archived until the opponent resumes playing? A second suggestion would to find ways to neutralize those using letterpress cheat apps.

Letterpress

I really like the upgrade w/ more logical options in terms of words and spelling.

Still fun

Came back to this game after a long time, and its still great fun. Looking forward to a Letterpress 2.

Recent updates - Meh!

There is not really a dictionary anymore. Well, there is but it doesnt really count because if it isnt in there it just puts up some crap about a legacy dictionary when was a word list. So now who knows if it is a word. Only way to find out is try it. No wonder the play is so buggy with all those extra server hits checking out outrageous letter strings that may or may not be on the list. So lets see, a word game that does not have reliable rules. Why play if the rules are not really there and you will never know if your opponent is using a cheat anyway?

Buggy nonsense

Current dictionary is pointless, allowing words that dont exist and ignoring previously played base words, ex. "Rambler" is allowed after "ramblings" has already been played. Ruins the game

simple yet sophisticated

beautifully designed, but truly strategic and challenging. wish there was a mode to play by myself, a blank board randomly generated so i can just practice finding words in a board on my own when theres nobody else to play with me.

Fun way to stretch the brain

I wish I knew more people who loved word games because this one is so much fun! Since the last update I have not received any false notifications so I have my fingers crossed that it continues.

Horrible connectivity makes it nearly unplayable

Letterpress has always had problems with Game Center connectivity but it has gotten far worse for me in recent months. It requires a force quit and "reset game center" action every time I launch the app.

Best word game. Ever.

But the new owner of this game has a very limited idea of what is a good word. This is a game for adults, but there is no option to stop limiting the “profanity” even when those words are in every dictionary. Including this one, but somebody went overboard. Examples include the obvious words, but also BOINKED? KNOCKERS? Those are not profanity, but they are in this game. This game gets the largest amount of my time than any other game, ever. But it’s not a time waster, unless you go overboard. It’s exactly the kind of exercises we need to do to keep our minds sharp as we age. You know who you are.

Hate Game Center

This uses Game Center so I deleted it !
